Last night was considered one of the best fashion nights of the year, The Met Gala in New York. The Met Gala also known as The Costume Institute Ball, celebrates the annual opening of the Metropolitan Museum's (The Met) fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute. This brings the stars of fashion and the designers all out to show off the best of couture and other high fashions.
The one trend that was all over the red carpet was definitely metallics. An array of silvers, golds, and bronzes waltzed down the red carpet sparkling and shining for the cameras.
Here are some of the highlights:
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Burberry
Gwyneth Paltrow in Prada
Leighton Meester in Marchesa
Emma Stone in Lanvin
Jessica Alba in Michael Kors
Florence Welch in Alexander McQueen
Cameron Diaz in Stella McCartney
and some lowlights...
Kristen Stewart in Balenciaga
Beyonce in Givenchy
Elizabeth Banks in Mary Katrantzou
So there you have it, the highs and the lows of tonight's Met Gala. My personal favorites were Rosie Hungtinton-Whiteley, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Cameron Diaz. I think all of the ladies conveyed their personal style cohesively and in a classy manor. As for the girls who totally dropped the ball with their gowns: there's always next year.
Who was your favorite? Which dress would you most like to wear? Let me know in the comments below!
This weekend was the final weekend of Coachella, as it was a two weekend musical extravaganza this year. Coachella is a music festival that takes place in the beautiful desert of Indio, California and it hosts all the hippest names of music today, and tomorrow. The headliners of this year were Radiohead, The Black Keys, and Dr.Dre & Snoop Dogg.
Naturally, with good music, comes amazing fashion, and this year was no different at Coachella. The festival drew all of the top names in style including Alexander Wang, Rihanna, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, and Katy Perry. Like most festival fashion though, it included the same fringes, studs, florals, and an all around hippie feel.

Another very notable surprise guest this year at Coachella was, Tupac Shakur. Well, technically speaking, hologram Tupac. At the Dr.Dre & Snoop Dogg set last Sunday, festival goers were speechless as they saw Tupac emerge on the stage and perform 2 songs, one solo, and one with Snoop Dogg. This was all thanks to the magic of holograms, but it looked scarily real on YouTube. This small performance from a late legend set the internet ablaze with celebrities like Rihanna and members of Odd Future tweeting with excitement and emotion. Check out the video for yourself below if you haven't seen the performance.

How crazy is that, right?
I hope everyone had a good weekend! Leave a comment telling me what you did instead of Coachella, and if you went tell me how it went!
